Welcome to BoonMe

BoonMe starts with a little help between people. Ask for something you need, or Give something you can offer. Your account opens in My circle, where you can get started straight away.

Get started​

  1. Open BoonMe Preview and sign in with Apple, or with your email address and a code we email you. If you need Preview access, contact us.
  2. Tap Ask · Give below the feed. Say what you need or can offer, then choose who it is for. You can add your first person right there; a shared circle is optional.
  3. Share when you’re ready. BoonMe can prepare a card in Messages. You choose the conversation and tap Send yourself.

You can build My circle first: open the menu at the top left and choose Add people to connect contacts without writing an Ask or a message.

In the same menu, Your calendar opens your calendar choices. The centre composer also lets you keep an event on your personal plan by leaving Who empty.

Your people and your cards​

  • My circle is your personal circle of people. It does not require a shared calendar or a group to be set up first.
  • Ask and Give cards say what is happening, who they are for, and when. The people you choose can take them; nothing is owed until someone does.
  • Visibility controls who can see a card. Letting more people see it does not give them the right to take it: that stays with its named recipients.
  • A personal link can let someone you name open their card and respond in a browser without installing the app. Ordinary app links still require access in the app. BoonMe does not collect their phone number.

Share a plan when you want to​

An inner circle is optional. Start or join one when you want to share calendars and plan together—for example, with a household, roommates or a partner. You can have one inner circle, alongside My circle. The app calls it by the name you choose.

Your inner circle can use its shared week and the Weekly Gathering to look back and plan ahead. You can keep asking and giving in My circle without creating one.

BoonMe 2.0 is in Preview. The shipping Gather Rnd 1.x app has a different starting flow; keep using the version you already have unless you have been given Preview access.
