Troubleshooting
I signed in and see Set up a circle or Join a circle
A fresh BoonMe account should open in My circle, where you can ask or give immediately. Creating an inner circle is optional.
Check that you opened the BoonMe Preview app you were given. The shipping Gather Rnd 1.x app still has its older starting flow. If Preview still shows that flow, contact us with the app version and what you see; you do not need to create a circle to get past it.
My circle could not load
Use Try again when the app offers it. If you still cannot reach your home, check your connection and contact us.
I cannot save an Ask or Give
Add a title and choose at least one person in Who. You can use Add someone without setting up an inner circle. Check any place or link you entered. If the app explains another limit or an unavailable action, follow that message before trying again.
I can see a card but cannot take it
Only its named recipients can take it. Public visibility allows viewing, not taking. The available places may also have been taken already. Open the card to see its current state; ask its author if it was meant for you.
A shared link will not open
A personal card link is made for a named person; an ordinary app link requires access in the app. A shared event link lets someone view one event without joining a circle.
If a link says it is expired, revoked or unavailable, ask the sender to check it and share a current link. Deleting the item or revoking access can make an older link unavailable. See Messages for what each kind of link opens.
An ask bubble is blank or out of date
Close Messages completely and reopen it after updating Preview. Open BoonMe on the same phone and check that you are signed in. The iMessage extension comes with the installed app; install the current Preview build if you were given one.
If a bubble says you cannot open that card, its permissions still apply in Messages. Being in the conversation does not grant access to the card.
I cannot find someone inside Messages
Add them to My circle in the BoonMe app first, then reopen the composer in Messages. For several guests or a group conversation, use the app to prepare their individual personal links.
I am not getting notifications
Check Settings from your face at the top right, then Notifications. Check that notifications are also allowed in your iPhone’s Settings. An author can choose whether to notify people when posting a card.
A shared calendar is not updating
For a calendar brought into your inner circle, try Check it now. If it still does not answer, its subscribe link may have changed. For help finding that link, see Calendar.
An event moved in its calendar
Your inner circle’s shared week follows the calendars it subscribes to. When an event moves or is renamed, the week updates it and shows a note about the change. Your notes and expectations stay with it.
- No longer in the calendar means the source event was cancelled or removed. Open the event and choose Remove when you are ready to remove it from the plan.
- May have moved in the calendar means there is more than one possible match. Open it and use Use this time beside the right one.
If the calendar itself stopped answering, try Check it now as described above. You can keep using My circle while you work on an optional shared calendar. For anything else, contact us.
